Huey Lewis and The News's 1989 Concert Photos

Formed in 1979 in the Bay Area, Huey Lewis and the News catapulted to the top of the charts with the release of its third studio album "Sports" in 1983. The album peaked at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart the following year. In 1985, Huey Lewis and the News released the single "The Power of Love" for the film "Back to the Future." It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was nominated for an Academy Award. With "Small World" (1987), the band landed its second number-one album in the US. This was the band's final number-one album. While each subsequent album landed on the chart, none were able to break the Top 10. Nonetheless, Huey Lewis and the News remains one of the most popular bands of the 1980s with many people pushing for its induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
