Hurdy-Gurdy Concert History

The band Hurdy-Gurdy is a project of Swedish hurdy-gurdy players Stefan Brisland-Ferner of Garmarna and Totte Mattsson of Hedningarna. They use exclusively the sounds of the hurdy-gurdy instrument, and often process, sample, and manipulate these electronically. The result is a highly original fusion of traditional and contemporary experimental music that evokes a heavy and at times dark but expansive feeling.
