青葉市子 (Ichiko Aoba) is a Japanese folk singer/songwriter born in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan and raised in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. Taking inspiration from Disney and Studio Ghibli music, most of her music is primarily performed using a classical guitar. She also takes a lot of inspiration from her dreams in order to create a story. Aoba began composing at the age of 17, and was mentored by Japanese singer/songwriter Anmi Yamada. She then released her debut album at age 19.
