Ike & Tina Turner's 1971 Concert History

Ike and Tina Turner, a powerful music duo, were married for 16 tumultuous years (1962–1978). Together, they had one biological son, Ronnie Turner (1960–2022) while Tina adopted Ike's son from a previous relationship, Ike Turner Jr., and Ike adopted Tina's son, Craig (1958–2018). With Ike being 14 years Tina's senior, their complex and often tumultuous relationship was vividly portrayed in the 1993 biographical film, "What's Love Got to Do with It." Their musical journey included several hits, including "Proud Mary,” “Rockin’ and Rollin’,” "Mocking Bird, "Baby Get It On," and "Shake a Tail Feather." capturing the Rockin' and Rollin' spirit of their era. The duo also ventured into gospel music with their album “The Gospel According to Ike and Tina" (1974). Despite their marriage ending in divorce, Ike and Tina Turner's songs left an indelible mark on soul, rock and roll, pop, gospel, R&B, and many other genres of music. Ike passed in 2007 followed by Tina in 2023.
