Impromtus ad Mortem are a group formed at the end of 2001 in Ibague, and subsequently based in Bogota, featuring Mauricio Castro (drums), Walter Monsalve (keyboard), Mauricio Varón (guitar) and Diana Cuesta (singer and violin) . They play melodic gothic metal and are influenced by the likes of Therion, Theatre of Tragedy, Moonspell, After Forever, Lacrimosa, Vangelis and Tristania.
