Invent Animate is a progressive metal band originally formed in Port Neches, Texas in 2011. The group is often classified within the "metalcore" and "djent" subgenres and originally stylized its name "Invent, Animate" but has since removed the comma. Invent Animate self-released its debut EP "Waves" in 2012. "Everchanger," the band's debut studio album, dropped two years later. The band has since released the albums "Stillworld" (2016), "Greyview" (2020), and "Heavener" (2023) as well as their second EP "The Sun Sleeps, as If It Never Was" in 2021.
