Jake Zyrus (May 10, 1992) is a Filipino singer and actor from Cabuyao, Philippines. Zyrus first rose to fame in 2007 as a teenager with a string of performances on television under the name Charice, becoming notable for his wide range and garnering comparisons to Whitney Houston and Céline Dion (who he would later perform with). He released his debut album in 2010, the song "Pyramid" becoming an international hit. That same year, he made his acting debut on Glee as Sunshine Corazon. Zyrus came out as transgender in 2017.
