Jason Newsted (born March 4, 1963 in Battle Creek, Michigan) is a 1963-03-04 year-old heavy metal bassist and vocalist who has performed with Metallica, Flotsam and Jetsam, Voivod, Pape Wheelie, and Rock Star Supernova among others. In 2002, he founded the band "Newsted" and in 2016 "Jason Newsted and the Chophouse Band."
