Jimi Hendrix's 1965 Concert History

Jimi Hendrix (November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) is ranked as the greatest guitarist in music history by Rolling Stone magazine. He began his career in the early 1960s in Nashville before moving to New York. Unable to attain success as a solo artist in either city, Hendrix moved to London in 1966. Within a year, his band, The Jimi Hendrix Experience had released three top 10 hit singles and its debut album "Are You Experienced," which peaked at number two on the UK Official Albums Chart. In the summer of 1967, Hendrix performed at the Monterey International Pop Festival in California, which helped introduce him to a much larger audience in the United States. In 1968, "Electric Landland," Hendrix's third album, peaked at the top spot on the US Billboard 200 chart. On September 6, 1970, Hendrix performed his last show. He died twelve days later.
