Originally from Bridgeport, Connecticut, John Clayton Meyer (born October 16, 1977) is a 46 year old singer-songwriter and guitarist that has led a successful career both as a solo artist, session musician, and member of several bands including John Mayer Trio and Dead & Company, which he co-founded with former Grateful Dead member Bob Weir in 2011.
