As a tot, when he was hoisted on the stage after the naked people had left in the musical “Hair” to dance and sing, he knew he had found his calling. Although he sang in the summers and acted in musicals with youngsters including Robert Downey Jr., he didn’t pick up the guitar until thirteen. In a few moments he wrote a song about a friend who bought a Bob Dylan record and grew up too fast. When you’re asking questions like “how many roads…”, it’s hard to stay in Cub Scouts.
