Katie Hughes is a sophomore double-majoring in English and Theatre. Originally from Venice, California, Katie has been singing as long as she’s been talking. Although she has been playing the guitar since she was fifteen, Katie has never considered herself to be a guitarist but rather a singer. Heavily influenced by Elliott Smith, Ivy, Marissa Nadler and Damien Rice, Katie’s writing uses acoustic guitars to support her more intricate vocals.
