If you are unfamiliar with Kenny Chesney, you will note that one of the recurring themes in his music is the beach, with people resting and enjoying life. In this popular song, he collaborates with Uncle Kracker to provide us with another enjoyable summer song. He sings that everything becomes hotter as the sun sets. The remainder is left up to the listener's imagination. But for Chesney, summer is all about having fun and enjoying the days and nights, so I’m sure we can all figure it out.
"Who You'd Be Today” may be one of Kenny Chesney’s most emotionally impactful hits. Written to a young person who died before their time, the song is filled with a sense of grief, sorrow, and loss as Chesney sings about missing the deceased individual and contemplating what they would have been had they remained alive. The song concludes with the storyteller consoling himself with the idea that he will see the deceased person once again when he too leaves this Earth.
The song "How Forever Feels" describes the life of a someone who enjoys life but suddenly realizes he is missing out on something. The song's chorus indicates that he wishes to experience what "forever" entails. What he means is that he desires a sincere love that will be by his side forever.
