Dallas' Killbilly have been bending genre definitions for some time. Acoustic banjos, guitars and mandolins predominate, but the attitude is stubbornly rock 'n' roll. A seminal band in the insurgent country movement, Killbilly fused lightning-hot bluegrass licks with the energy and ethos of punk, launching some notable No Depression names along the way.
