Lady A is an American country trio that formed in 2006 in Nashville, Tennessee. Originally called "Lady Antebellum," the band changed its name to "Lady A" on June 11, 2020, during the height of the George Floyd protests, citing negative connotations between the word "Antebellum" and American slavery in the pre-Civil War South. The change has been both praised and criticized. Members of the band include Hillary Scott, Charles Kelly, and Dave Haywood. Some of Lady A's most popular songs include "Need You Now," "Just a Kiss," "Ocean," "Love Don't Live Here," "I Run to You," "Compass," "Bartender," and "You Look Good." The group also had notable features on Jim Brickman's "Never Alone," Audien's "Something Better," and Chris Tomlin's "Who You Are To Me."
