Leonel Kaplan (1973) Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Trumpeter and free improviser. Has toured both Americas and Europe with Michel Doneda, Tatsuya Nakatani, Bhob Rainey, Axel Dörner, Lê Quan Ninh, Ly Thanh Tiên and Tetuzi Akiyama between others. Currently working in different lines up with Argentinean based lloopp player Christof Kurzmann. Records for labels like Creative Sources and Utech Records. Kaplan has developed a very singular approach to the trumpet and is one of the best known Southamerican improvisers oversees.
