To explain the sound of Pretoria's Liberty Valance, would be a Sisyphean exercise in futility. If forced to attempt, the most often mentioned features would be the combination of intelligent lyrics, frustrated anger and reason. Liberty Valance takes you on a journey spanning from the 70's British punk-scene with its raw, nihilistic tendencies, through to the aggresive energy of the hardcore movement, straight to the varied and calculated emotional range of modern underground music.
