Lional are an alternative rock band from Inverness, consisting of Joshua MacKenzie on vocals and guitar, Ross Haddow on bass, Russell Montgomery on drums and Gordon McKerrow on keyboards. Initally forming as a three-piece in 2011 under the name 'Lionel' with Sean Phlegming on drums, the band built up a reputation across the country via strong live shows, eventually being dubbed the best unsigned band at the 2014 goNORTH festival.
