Maeraki is the result of singer Rob Jennings and bassist Chris Stoppiello (of New Jersey) being fed up with playing the same tired riffs heard time and time again. Both Rob and Chris have years of experience playing with various bands of that shared a rolling cast of the same musicians but the two did not play together in the same band until the summer of 2008 when they were commissioned as a back up band for a singer-songwriter.
