Magma's 2012 Concert History

1. Magma is a French progressive rock band formed in Paris in 1969 by drummer and composer Christian Vander. The group initially disbanded in 1983 before reforming in 1996. Their music combines elements of experimental rock, jazz, and 20th-century classical music, and is widely associated with the development of the progressive rock subgenre known as "Zeuhl". The style is characterized by repetitive rhythmic structures, prominent bass lines, complex drumming, dramatic vocal arrangements, and extended instrumental passages.
