Latin rock band Maria Fatal, established by Cesar Hernandez and the Ramirez brothers — Fernando, Ernesto, and Gabriel — emerged as a pioneering presence in the rock en español scene of Los Angeles in the early '90s. Their journey began on the vibrant club circuit of Los Angeles City, eventually leading them to México, where they teamed up with bassist Jose Alonso. Their debut, a self-titled album released under San Francisco-based Aztlán Records, marked the beginning of their ascent.
