Monetochka (born Elizaveta Andreevna Gyrdymova, June 1, 1998, in Ekaterinburg, Russia) is a singer-songwriter who grew popular on social media platforms like YouTube and VKontakte in the mid-2010s. In early 2016, she self-released her debut album "Psychedelic Cloud-Rap." It quickly went viral. In 2017, she released the song "Childfree" with Noize MC. In 2022, they went on tour together to raise funds for refugees displaced due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Her second album, "Coloring for Adults" was released in 2018. Her third album "Decorative Arts" followed in 2020. Since 2022, she has been residing outside of Russia and in 2023 was listed as a foreign agent by the Russian Ministry of Justice. Her first album released after the Russian invasion, "Prayers. Jokes. Toasts." dropped in 2024.
