Mopho's 2001 Concert History

Mopho is a band from the northeast of Brazil, from the city of Maceió, in the state of Alagoas to be exact, which plays rock with a tip of the hat to sixties rock. They blend psychedelic influences with Os Mutantes and come up with a fresh sound for the new millenium. Upon hearing the song Não Mande Flores (Don't Send Flowers), Arnaldo Baptista, ex-guitar and vocals from Os Mutantes stated in the Brazilian press: "Sonically they are superior to Os Mutantes, and they remind me of the Beatles".
