Munch was an Norwegian art/industrial band started in Kristiansand in 1986 and was in business until late 1991. The band consisted of Ivar Mykland, Lars Årdal, Rune Bergstø, Alf Solbakken and Rich Nordskog. They had an distinct sound and was compared to bands like Laibach and Einstürzende Neubauten. They took the name Munch after the famous painter Edvard Munch and wanted to create music which sounded like his pictures.
