Prior to Ieading the Mod RevivaI of 1979 with SECRET AFFAIR, singer Ian Page & guitarist Dave Cairns fronted power pop act NEW HEARTS. Signing with CBS in 1977 the band issued two singIes, "Just Another Teenage Anthem" & "PIain Jane". But behind the scenes, New Hearts recorded a whoIe aIbum's worth of songs, some of which were Iater reworked with Secret Affair. Now their secret history is finaIIy toId with the reIease of "New Hearts, A Secret Affair, The CBS Sessions" on Cherry Red Records, Oct 2009.
