P&P formed in the spring of 2009 out of the mutual admiration of singer songwriters Jonathan Hirsch & China Langford. With the desire to compose beautiful and honest songs steeped in traditional American music, their private compositions began to take shape as something grander. Cellist Lara Cushing & Violist/Violinist Chikin provide the backbone of P&P's musical landscape- full of Dakota snowstorms & Desert sunsets, flooded San Francisco streets & shadowy winter days.
