Peter Criss (born Peter Criscuola, December 20, 1945) is an American rock musician and the original drummer and percussionist for the classic rock band KISS. He helped form the band in 1973 but left in 1980 to pursue his solo career. Two years prior, he released his debut solo album, and in 1980, he dropped his sophomore album "Out of Control." In 1982 he released "Let Me Rock You" with 12 years passing before he released his fourth studio album "Cat No. 1" (1994) and another 13 before the release of "One for All" in 2007. In 1996, he rejoined KISS alongside Ace Frehley (who had departed in 1982) for a reunion tour. Criss left a second time in 2011, returning again in 2002 and departing for the third and final time in 2004. Until 2017, he continued performing as a solo artist but has since retired.
