I wonder if Pete Thompson is not actually a storyteller, a poet, dressed up in a musician’s guise. His songs have a narrative feel: characters, settings, dialogue, journeys… his story or Everyman’s? At a recent gig he said: I was thinking about this song and I realised it was actually about me… again.
