Piskie Sits hail from Wakefield in West Yorkshire. Rather than riding the wave of the New-Yorkshire indie-pop scene, the boys crafted their own brand of alt-american-rock taking influence from such early luminaries as Pavement, Sonic Youth, The Smashing Pumpkins, plus latter day saints The National, The Strokes, Blur and many others.
