Pretenders Concert History

Pretenders are a rock band who came to prominence during the punk and new wave movement of the late 1970s due to their innovative songwriting and charismatic performances. The original band consisted of group founder, songwriter, vocalist, and rhythm guitarist Chrissie Hynde, lead and rhythm guitarist James Honeyman-Scott, bassist Pete Farndon, and drummer Martin Chambers. 04/08/1980, Austin's Armadillo Hqtrs. My claim to fame is Martin Chambers, on this night, could not hold on to his drumsticks. One of them, spinning wildly, hit me right on my face. Documented on "The Daily Texan", Monday, April 14, 1980 edition, p. 21.

That night, Chrissy was dark, almost spitting flames. My friend said, wow, Iggy Pop's sister! LOL.

I saw the Pretenders at Southeastern Ma university No Dartmouth Ma in February 1981. Opening Act Alan Walker band (I think). Not listed on your site.
