'''Pure Prairie League''', named for a 19th century temperance union (there is some debate over whether the organization actually existed or not) is a seminal American country rock band, the roots of which can be found 1964-1969 in Waverly, Ohio with Craig Fuller, Tom McGrail, Jim Caughlan, and John David Call. The band has had a long run, active from the early 1970s through the early 1980s and once again reborn in the mid 2000’s.
