Randy Meisner's 1981 Concert History

Randy Herman Meisner (March 8 1946 – July 26, 2023) was a musician, best known as a founding member, songwriter, bassist, and backing vocalist of the classic rock band the Eagles. He helped form the band in 1971 and departed in 1977, citing "exhaustion" as the reason for his resignation. Despite his short time with the band, he wrote or co-wrote the songs"Take it to the Limit," "Certain Kind of Fool," "Too Many Hands," "Try and Love Again," "Is It True?" and many others. As a solo artist, he released three studio albums: "Randy Meisner" (1978), "One More Song," (1980), and "Randy Meisner" (1982). The latter two were top 100 hits in the US and Canada. He was also a member of Poco for a short period in the late 1960s and collaborated with Charlie Rich, Jr. and Billy Swan as "Black Tie" and then "Meisner, Swan, & Rich" between 1985 and 2001. Randy Meisner passed away on July 26, 2023 at the age of 77 from complications related to COPD.
