RCRDS is the duo of Davis Connors (Pines) and Felipe Valdez, members of the Cell▲r Door collective from Washington D.C. Their sound incorporates woozy drones and hiphop inspired beats accompanied by ethereal vocals and detailed samples, although is not limited to a single genre. When it comes to writing, ideas flows naturally falling into a stream of consciousness avoiding forced feelings and typical song structure. Lyrics are seemingly abstract, despite reflecting on specific experiences through bleak imagery and introspective concepts.
