The noisy garage punk trio of Red Max first hit the Lincoln, NE, scene in 1984 with Randy Docter on vocals and guitar, Ron Weber on drums, and Chris Lee on bass. With their added high speed of rockabilly and lyrical stance on glue-sniffing and hot rods, the band would spend the next 12 years gigging around the Midwest before getting in contact with Ismist Records. With the 1996 EP of Voodoo Liquor Hot Rod, Red Max hit the road in the summer of 1997 in support of their first 7".
These are photos from concerts where Red Max played, so they may be of other bands that played the concert as well.
