René Pape Concert History

Born in Dresden, bass René Pape now lives in Berlin. Since 1988 debut, he has appeared at the Berlin State Opera since 1988 and first sang most of the great roles of his career there under music director Daniel Barenboim. He has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera, the Salzburg Festival, Glyndebourne and most of the world's leading opera houses. He is especially noted for his Wagner roles, especially King Mark in Tristan und Isolde, which he has recorded for EMI Classics...
