Richard is a songwriter of acoustic blues oriented guitar music, while writing guitar instrumentals that tend more towards folk. He performs his own material, not being over keen on doing covers that turn out far inferior to the originals. His influences are anything he likes, whatever the genre, while most song ideas spring from pondering news headlines, others from past experiences.
