Robbie Robertson's 2001 Concert History

Jaime Royal Robertson, better known as "Robbie Roberston" (July 5, 1943 – August 9, 2023) was a singer-songwriter, guitarist, and keyboardist born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In the early 1950s, Roberston began his career as a member of the Hawks, the backing band for Ronnie Hawkins and, during the mid-1960s, Bob Dylan. After splitting from Dylan in 1967, The Hawks, with Roberston, began recording their own music as "Big Pink." This group ultimately became "The Band." Robertson remained a member of The Band until 1978 when the group broke up while Robertson performed Ringo Starr, Joni Mitchell, Eric Clapton, and Neil Diamond, among others. In 1987, he released his debut solo album. It was followed by "Storyville" (1991), "Contact from the Underworld of Redboy" (1998), "How to Become Clairvoyant" (2011), and "Sinematic" (2019). In 2016, he released his autobiography "Testimony." On August 9, 2023, he passed away at the age of 80.
