Like a lazy Sunday afternoon pondering where your life is heading Ross' songs mix dependability with the unease of intelligence. In a beautiful acoustic setting, Ross' voice is proud and strong-willed, his lyrics worldly-wise and almost world-weary. Relaxed in this knowledgeable purpose, his music gives comfort to the solitary in gentle tunes steeped in layers, much, I imagine, like himself.
