Sallyforth formed around Easter time in 2005 and by combining energetic indie with elements of explosive progressive rock they have established themselves as one of the best undiscovered talents in the country. They draw their sound from both new and old with Bloc Party and The Who being massive influences on the band. The band released thier first EP in January 2006.
