Sam Burckhardt's 2013 Concert History

Burckhardt cut his teeth playing drums and blowing sax behind the boogie woogie pianist Sunnyland Slim, first in Switzerland and later in the states. Since the '70's, he's been playing saxophone in various Chicago jump blues and jazz combos, as both leader/ arranger, and sideman. Known to frequent Andy's bar and jazz joint (or at least to have played the Hubbard St. Andy's jazz club a number of times in the '90's).
