Like an amoeba Save the Swim team has not ceased to grow and evolve. They grasp at influences such as Streetlight Manifesto, We Are The Union, Strike Anywhere, Blink 182, and Gorilla Biscuits. The band's core members are Doug Nye (guitar), Richard Martin (vocals), and brothers Zach Klasky (saxophone/vocals) and Max Klasky (bass/vocals). In recent years their line-up has grown to include Dan Currie (trombone/vocals) and ex-members of The Shilling, Brent Friedman (drums) and Scott Wellborn (guitar/vocals).
