Comprising Kalle Wolters and Maarten Huizing, Schau Schau is a wavy kind of post-punk duo based in Groningen, The Netherlands. Wolters and Huizing were previously in the band Kinoo, but - in 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic - decided to start something new. As Schau Schau, they make a garage-y blend of post-punk, reminiscent of Talking Heads and Can, but also contemporary bands such as Parquet Courts and Preoccupactions. Schau Schau's first single, 'Unlikely Friends', came out in November 2021.
