Simcoe St. Mob was formed, unintentionally, January 11 1997 at the Reddy Family Motel in Toronto, Ontario. It has been speculated that the motel’s address, 168 Simcoe St., may have partially influenced not only the name of the group, but perhaps even their debut album, “168.”
