Hailing from the Leicester area of the United Kingdom, Ska-Boom were very much the brainchild of Nick Murphy who'd previously issued a reggae/ska-tinged single as a member of The Newmatics in 1981. Ska-Boom were picked up by Sean Loafer who issued the three-track The Plan EP (1989) on his Staccato label. Two further singles followed, as did their Lost in Ska LP.
