Soft Reeds Concert History

Kansas City's Soft Reeds is the new project from Chicago native turned Kansas City transplant Ben Grimes. After spending six years fronting indie rockers The Golden Republic, who released a self-titled full-length and an EP called "People" in 2005 on Astralwerks/Capitol Records, Grimes found himself in Nashville, TN looking for some new creative outlets… preferably not involving music. Commenting on the move, Grimes said, "I was completely sick of being a musician, and I think had too many bad feelings associated with the whole thing.
