Stereotypical Working Class est né en 1999 dans les alentours de Lyon. Les jeunes zicos aiment le rock, de Incubus à Deftones en passant par Staind. Dans le genre bonnes influences, on a fait pire, n'est-ce pas ? Très vite, le groupe se compose un répertoire, ce qui permet au groupe d'enregistrer une démo 12 titres (!) en 2001. Le groupe affectionne la scène et se fait remarquer par des prestations musclées, et se retrouve vite aux coté de Pleymo, Tripod, Noisy Fate et aussi Madball.
