Steven John Carell (born August 16, 1962) is a Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-nominated American comedian, actor and writer, who rose to fame as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, from 1999 to 2004. From 2005 to 2011, he starred in the popular American version of the television sitcom The Office, as main character Michael Scott. He has starred and co-starred in several notable films including Bruce Almighty, Anchorman, The 40-Year Old Virgin, Little Miss Sunshine and Evan Almighty.
