Steve Lawrence (born Sidney Liebowitz in New York City on 8 July 1935; died 7 March 2024) was an American singer, comedian and actor remembered as a member of a duo with his wife Eydie Gormé, billed as Steve and Eydie. The two appeared together since appearing regularly on Steve Allen's The Tonight Show in the mid-1950s and continued performing as a duo until Gormé's retirement in 2009.
