Striving For Better was formed in the spring of 2005 by lead guitarist Ian Coffey and bassist Alex Jennings . The band was started as an escape from the hardcore-laden southern New Jersey music scene. Coffey had the idea of turning every venue he played into a party. When asked to describe his brainchild Striving For Better, Coffey smiles and laughes suggesting "As for right now, we're just having a ball, and I hope everyone will start to notice that in our music.
