The Acronyms's 2000 Concert History

The Acronyms were a hyper-oldies band from Springfield, Missouri. Formed in January 1997 from the still-smoldering ashes of Piezo Transducer and Jake's Radio, the Acronyms managed to stay together and irregularly play shows for about 5 years. They played their first show on Nov. 1 1997 at a Halloween party, and soon after, a cassette of this performance was released on Wee Rock Records. Their repertoire consisted mostly of covers of oldies songs (played much faster than the original versions), but they also wrote a few of their own songs.
